Connecting Outlook to Paperbox

To integrate your Outlook inbox with Paperbox, you’ll need to share access credentials. Optionally, you can configure a Microsoft Entra App Registration for more control over permissions.


🔐 Share Outlook Account Credentials (Required)

To connect your Microsoft 365 Outlook inbox to Paperbox, we need the credentials for the email account that Paperbox will monitor.

Please provide:

🛡️ Security notice: Your credentials are securely encrypted and used only to establish and maintain the inbox connection. We recommend using a strong password and enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) if possible.

💡 Using a Shared Mailbox?

If you're connecting a shared mailbox, you’ll need to manually assign a password first. Here’s how:

  1. In the left menu, navigate to:
    UsersActive users

  2. Select the shared mailbox you want to connect

  3. Click Reset password in the top-right corner

    📝 This is usually the first time a password is set for a shared mailbox

  4. Share the newly created password with Paperbox

🎉 You’re done! Paperbox can now sign in using the email address and password you've just configured.

⚙️ (Optional) Registering a Microsoft Entra application

If your IT policy requires more granular control, you can optionally create a Microsoft Entra App Registration. This allows you to explicitly manage the integration permissions.

🧘 You can skip this section if Paperbox is handling the configuration for you.

➕ Create a New App Registration

  1. Sign in with your company email and password

  2. Navigate to ApplicationsApp registrations

  3. Click + New registration

  4. Name the app — we recommend including “Paperbox” in the name

  5. Leave all settings on default

  6. Click Register


🔑 Create a Client Secret

  1. Go to Certificates & secrets

  2. Under the Client secrets tab, click + New client secret

  3. Add a description (e.g., “Paperbox integration”)

  4. Choose an expiration date (we recommend 6–12 months)

  5. Click Add

  6. ⚠️ Important: Copy and save the Client Secret Value — it won’t be shown again after you leave the page


📬 Add Microsoft Graph API Permissions

  1. Go to API permissions → click + Add a permission

  2. Select Microsoft GraphDelegated permissions

  3. Search and add the following permissions:

OpenID permissions:

  • email

  • offline_access

  • openid

  • profile

User permissions:

  • User.Read

Mail permissions:

  • Mail.Read

  • Mail.ReadWrite (used only for organizing — Paperbox does not send emails)

  • (Optional) Mail.ReadShared, Mail.ReadWriteShared (if needed)

  1. Click Add permissions


🌐 Add a Redirect URI

  1. Go to Authentication

  2. Under Platform configurations, click + Add a platform

  3. Choose Web

  4. Use this URI:
    https://www.integromat.com/oauth/cb/azure

  5. Click Configure
